Dr. Mike Michaud, is Qalipu Mi'kmaq first nations band from
eastern Canada and the USA. He is originally from Brampton, Ontario just outside of Toronto. He is happily married with three beautiful children. His wife is Alaska Native
which is what brought him up to Alaska to practice. He married into a family that he is now the fourth generation chiropractor. Dr. Mike has had the honor and privilege to be an
adopted son in the T'akdeintaan
clan within the Tlingit tribe from Hoonah, Alaska. He attends and participates in potlatches and native festivities to further develop his knowledge and also to support the native
community where ever he can.
Dr. Mike Michaud is Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate. Dr. Michaud is a current American Chiropractic Association member as well as an Alaska Chiropractic Society member. He has served as the Palmer Student American Chiropractic Association President. He has actively lobbied for chiropractic health care for Veterans, Tri-care, and Medicare patients. He was also active in the Delta Sigma Chi fraternity which is a professional chiropractic fraternity. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is working on a diplomat in pediatric chiropractic and prenatal care.
He has his post graduate education in extremity adjusting. He practices using multiple methods of chiropractic including: ABC, Activator, Applied Kinesiology, Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson and is Webster certified. Dr. Mike also enjoys taking care of people of all ages. His youngest adjustment was on baby only minutes old and the oldest person he adjusted was 95 years old.
He was a Reiki master before starting chiropractic college as well being an instructed black belt of five animal style Kung-Fu, he has also attained a fourth degree gold sash in
Wing Chun Kung-Fu. Dr. Michaud is also a certified radiology technologist. Dr. Michaud is also an avid bow hunter and
